Ostrich Stir-frys

Ostrich meat is quick cooking for stir-fry’s. We suggest an ostrich tip, marinated if you like. Cut into small 1″ pieces & don’t overcook!

1 Ostrich steak or tip. 1 Spanish onion, cut into small chunks. 1 tbsp. Soya sauce. 1 tbsp.dry sherry. 1 red pepper, cut into strips. 1 green pepper, cut into strips. 1 can consommé. 1 tbsp. corn starch. 2 tbsp. olive oil.  Salt & pepper.

Heat skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil & stir-fry ostrich meat until medium done. Add onions, peppers, soy sauce, sherry and consommé. Mix cornstarch with a small amount of water to make a paste. Add to mixture and heat till sauce is thick. If you like red wine add a splash!.

Serve over rice or wide egg noodles.
